Industrial Markets at Luna Innovations

Luna Innovations is developing a number of technologies with potential use in industrial market applications for monitoring assets, both fixed and those moving through the supply chain:
Process Monitoring
- Production and processing in chemical process facilities, pulp and paper mills and power generation facilities (i.e. nuclear, fossil fuel and hydroelectric plants)
- Structural health monitoring (SHM)
- Condition-based maintenance (CBM)
Diagnostic information from sensor data is used for prognosis of the health of the structure (SHM) and/or equipment (CBM) enable asset management to be performed based on the actual health and performance of the structure or equipment, therefore minimizing failures and maintenance costs, while maximizing reliability and readiness. Applications include:
- Transportation systems and vehicles – aircraft, space vehicles, trains, ships
